Bilingual .NET Engineer

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for a bilingual .NET developer to join a team delivering software solutions to clients across a variety of industries. You will work in an agile environment, taking part in the full software development lifecycle and building robust, scalable web applications with modern .NET technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain web applications using ASP.NET MVC, WCF and Web API, ensuring performance, scalability and reliability.
• Build and integrate RESTful and SOAP-based web services, working with XML and JSON data formats.
• Write clean, maintainable C# code following object-oriented principles, and take part in code reviews.
• Develop interactive, responsive front-end features with jQuery, working closely with UI/UX teams.
• Manage source code, branching strategies and version control workflows using Git.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands-on application development experience; direct development experience is required, with no support-only roles.
• Proven ability to design and consume web services (SOAP, REST) with XML and JSON, and solid knowledge of WCF architecture and integration patterns.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and collaboration in cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of Git, including branching, merging and pull requests.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or Oracle PL/SQL, able to write and understand queries.
