Biomedical Design Engineer

About the role

Materialise Medical is seeking a Biomedical Design Engineer to create patient‑specific 3D virtual surgical guides and implants for cranio‑maxillo‑facial (CMF) surgeries worldwide. You will work with Materialise software to transform clinical cases into accurate 3D bone models and customized guides that support surgeons during operations.

Key responsibilities

• Use Materialise software to generate 3D bone models from patient imaging data.
• Design and validate customized surgical guides for CMF procedures.
• Prepare detailed planning reports that accompany each case.
• Execute assigned cases following SOPs, ensuring proper prioritization and coordination.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives and complete required documentation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records in the IQVIA system and track time in TS365.
• Attend all mandatory trainings and certify completion of SOPs.
• Provide feedback through CE‑QE and Eng‑Eng systems and report issues via the established communication flow.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow validated procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage case priorities and documentation.
• Willingness to continuously learn and adopt new software updates.
• Ability to work collaboratively with global teams and surgeons.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Materialise software for 3D modeling.
• Experience in creating 3D bone models and surgical guides.
• Familiarity with IQVIA system and TS365 for data tracking.
