About the role
FutureProofing is seeking a proactive Business Developer/Engagement Manager to accelerate growth by building strategic partnerships with startup founders and investors. This remote position focuses on outbound outreach, relationship building, and turning conversations into long‑term collaborations.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and engage high‑potential startup leaders and investors through outbound outreach.
- Lead strategic conversations that uncover value drivers and translate them into partnership opportunities.
- Manage the full sales cycle—from initial contact to contract negotiation and onboarding.
- Maintain consistent follow‑up cadence and track pipeline health.
- Collaborate with internal AI engineering and product teams to align offerings with client needs.
Required profile
- 3+ years of experience in outbound sales, business development, partnerships, recruiting, or client acquisition.
- Proven ability to build trust quickly with founders and decision‑makers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Comfortable working independently in fast‑paced, ambiguous startup environments.
- Understanding of how startups raise capital and what investors value.
