Business Development Associate - Generation Colombia (1 Year Fixed Term, Remote)

About the role

Generation is a global nonprofit that helps adults achieve economic mobility through employment, training and placing adult learners into careers. It is looking for a Business Development Associate for its Colombia office, working remotely with reliable internet and the availability to travel within Colombia and attend in-person events with employers and partners. The role reports to the Business Development Manager and runs for 1 year on a fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify opportunities to expand Generation's reach with employer partners in Colombia and across Latin America.
• Research potential employers and build a database of leads and contacts across industries.
• Qualify leads against Generation's mission and program goals, then reach out by email, phone and other channels.
• Help develop materials and presentations for business development.
• Prepare weekly reports on lead generation progress and update the CRM (Salesforce) with lead details and outcomes.
• Follow up on opportunities and document partner feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any field with a solid academic record.
• 1-2 years of professional experience in sales, business development or lead generation.
• Fluent Spanish; advanced written and spoken English desired.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, written and verbal skills, with strong follow-through.
• Planning, self-management and time-organization skills, proactivity and active listening.
• Comfortable building relationships with diverse stakeholders and passionate about social impact work.
