Business Development Representative – Remote Academic Partnerships

About the role

The Intern Group is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive growth of its Remote Academic Partnerships. Working remotely across the Americas or Europe, you will connect universities with the company’s remote internship solution, building a pipeline of pilot programs that feed long‑term institutional relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize high‑potential universities using data‑driven research.
• Craft personalized, multi‑channel outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn) to Deans, Program Directors and Department Heads.
• Conduct discovery calls to uncover institutional pain points and document the Pain, Project, and Champion for each prospect.
• Present the 25‑student pilot model as a low‑risk entry point and negotiate signed pilot agreements.
• Maintain a high‑impact pipeline and report progress against revenue targets.

Required profile

• Strong interest in higher‑education partnerships and international internships.
• Excellent communication and consultative selling skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets (preferred).
