Business Partnerships Advisor – Canada‑Colombia Trade & Social Impact

About the role

This volunteer placement with Cuso International’s SHARE program supports economic inclusion and private‑sector engagement in Colombia. You will work with the Colombian‑Canadian Chamber of Commerce to create partnerships that promote sustainability, entrepreneurship and inclusive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and support strategic partnership opportunities with Chamber members, affiliated organisations and potential collaborators.
• Strengthen engagement with Canadian companies operating in Colombia, encouraging participation in social‑impact initiatives.
• Support relationship‑building with private‑sector partners interested in sustainability, inclusive business and community impact.
• Explore financing and collaboration models through CSR programmes and corporate volunteer initiatives.
• Contribute to planning and coordination of events such as the Canada‑Colombia Dialogue and other Chamber activities.
• Prepare briefs, presentations and information summaries to aid decision‑making and partner engagement.

Required profile

• Degree in International Relations, Business Administration, Economics, International Development, Finance, Social Sciences or related field.
• Experience conducting research, analysis or stakeholder engagement and presenting information to diverse audiences.
• Strong networking and relationship‑building abilities with intercultural communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently to turn ideas into practical solutions.
