Carrier Relations Specialist – Logistics Capacity

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Carrier Relations Specialist to strengthen our high‑performing carrier network and drive transportation excellence. In this hybrid role based in Medellin, you will source specialized capacity, manage carrier intelligence, and ensure professional communication with our carrier partners.

Key responsibilities

• Research and engage qualified carriers for lanes such as flatbed, step‑deck, heavy‑haul, hot‑shot, enclosed van, and other specialized equipment.
• Post freight opportunities and clearly communicate shipment requirements through approved platforms and carrier networks.
• Monitor regional capacity, equipment availability, and market trends to anticipate constraints.
• Gather, compile, and summarize carrier pricing for bids, spot opportunities, and lane development.
• Build and maintain comprehensive carrier profiles, including equipment types, operating regions, contact information, performance history, and compliance documentation.
• Provide responsive, relationship‑focused communication and position the organization as a preferred transportation partner.
• Escalate pricing conflicts, compliance concerns, and service issues to appropriate teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, dispatch, or transportation operations.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities with carrier owners and dispatchers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commercial awareness and ability to operate within established guidelines.

Required skills

• Experience with TMS platforms.
• Proficiency using load boards and logistics software.
• Research, data management, and administrative process skills.
