Child Care Assistant Teacher

About the role

Join Big Blue Marble Academy as an Early Child Care Assistant Teacher, supporting the Lead Teacher in delivering a curriculum that broadens children’s worldviews. You will work with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in a collaborative, inclusive environment that values teamwork and community impact.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Lead Teacher to facilitate daily classroom activities and maintain a smooth, engaging learning environment.
• Engage with families to nurture and support each child’s development.
• Document children’s milestones and daily progress using electronic tracking tools.
• Follow enhanced safety and sanitation guidelines to keep the classroom clean and secure.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated experience working with children in childcare, daycare, or preschool settings.
• Early childhood coursework, CDA credential, or related degree preferred.
• Physical ability to stand for six to eight hours, lift at least 30 lb, and supervise children continuously.
