Claims Representative II – Workers Compensation

About the role

MEM Insurance is looking for a detail‑oriented Claims Representative II to manage a caseload of moderately complex workers’ compensation claims. You will ensure quality care for injured workers while protecting the financial integrity of policyholders.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and manage moderately complex workers’ compensation claims in compliance with state laws and MEM guidelines.
• Collaborate with Nurse Case Managers and external vendors to oversee medical case management, including lifetime care planning.
• Develop tailored Return‑to‑Work strategies with policyholders and ensure appropriate accommodations.
• Calculate and issue accurate disability benefits and maintain appropriate claim reserves.
• Negotiate settlements within authority levels and coordinate with legal counsel on litigated claims.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of claims handling experience, preferably in workers’ compensation.
• Associate in Claims (AIC) designation preferred.
• Experience handling claims in MO, IA, NE, KS, AR, TN, and/or IL is a plus.
