Cloud Infrastructure Lead (AWS)

About the role

Proximus Global is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Lead with a strong focus on cloud engineering to take technical ownership of Masiv's cloud infrastructure and lead a team focused on building, operating and continuously improving its cloud foundation. This is a hands-on leadership role balancing cloud engineering and team/operational leadership, working closely with Masiv's Engineering teams and the global Cloud & DevOps organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design, implementation and evolution of Masiv's AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Lead cloud infrastructure governance: account structure, provisioning, access models, security policies, guardrails and tagging standards.
• Design and manage AWS infrastructure, networking, connectivity and observability solutions.
• Establish and improve cloud standards, architecture patterns and engineering practices.
• Drive infrastructure automation and continuous improvement.
• Ensure reliability, availability, monitoring and resilience, including disaster recovery and high availability.
• Partner with Security on cloud security controls and with FinOps on cost optimization.
• Review technical designs, provide hands-on support, build a roadmap for cloud improvements and lead the Cloud Infrastructure team.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure / cloud engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS infrastructure.
• Experience implementing and managing cloud infrastructure, not just supporting or coordinating it.
• Leadership experience; previous formal people management is desirable but not mandatory.
• Open to strong Senior Cloud Engineers or Cloud Architects stepping into their first formal leadership role.
• Advanced English is required.

Required skills

• AWS: Control Tower, Landing Zones, account provisioning, VPC, VPN, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Security Hub.
• Cloud networking (TCP/IP, connectivity, network architecture) and cloud security and governance.
• Cloud observability and monitoring, and cloud cost optimization / FinOps principles.
