Commercial Operations Specialist

About the role

The Commercial Operations Specialist provides operational and financial support to the Regional Head of Healthcare - Americas, acting as their right hand. The role helps the Head maintain visibility across client accounts, financial performance, delivery risks and operational priorities, and ensures agreed actions are carried out. It works closely with account leaders, project teams, the finance partner and support teams across the Americas and India, and does not lead the Healthcare region.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the financial controller for the Healthcare - Americas portfolio, overseeing forecasts, actuals, revenue, costs, margin, utilization and other financial KPIs.
• Coordinate and review monthly financial inputs, validating forecasts and assumptions with account, delivery and finance teams.
• Track financial variances and prepare concise financial reports and management summaries for the Regional Head.
• Monitor working days, vacation adjustments, timecards, billing hours, non-staff costs, rebates and investment items, and follow up on billing, revenue recognition, purchase orders, contracts at risk and debtors.
• Maintain visibility of client accounts by coordinating updates with account leaders, delivery managers, project teams and finance partners.
• Support project support teams across the Americas and India in following company processes and keeping systems accurate and timely.
• Maintain governance records such as action, risk, issue and dependency logs, and escalate material financial, delivery, commercial and operational risks.
• Identify recurring gaps in financial inputs or processes and coordinate improvements.
• Support the preparation of reports for the Group Head, consolidating financial and operational information from the Healthcare portfolio.

Required profile

• Experience in PMO, portfolio operations, commercial operations or financial management in a complex services environment.
• Strong financial acumen with forecasts, actuals, variances, revenue, cost and margin.
• Skilled at coordinating across clients, teams, functions and locations without direct authority.
• Confident communicating with senior stakeholders and following up proactively.
• Professional English and ability to work across Americas and India time zones.

Required skills

• Strong reporting and Excel skills.
• Experience using enterprise financial and operational systems.
