Communication Specialist – Internal Communications

About the role

The Communication Specialist joins WSP’s Communications Services Delivery Hub, supporting internal, corporate and local communications teams worldwide. Reporting to the Hub Director, the role focuses on creating clear, brand‑aligned content for internal audiences and offers a solid foundation for growth within a global communications function.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, edit and proofread internal communications such as announcements, leadership messages and campaign materials, ensuring clarity and brand consistency.
• Support corporate, regional and local communications teams by delivering assigned requests within agreed timelines and service standards.
• Collaborate with Communications Business Partners and Hub team members to produce coordinated, high‑quality outputs across geographies.
• Apply editorial standards, templates and style guidelines consistently, adapting messaging to regional and functional contexts.
• Identify opportunities to improve templates, content approaches and delivery processes, contributing to best‑practice documentation.

Required profile

• University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field.
• 3–4 years of professional experience in internal, corporate or organizational communications.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading abilities with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a structured, process‑driven environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent organizational skills and comfort collaborating across time zones, cultures and functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and digital collaboration tools.
