Communication Specialist (Internal Communications)

About the role

The Communication Specialist is part of the Communications Services Delivery Hub, WSP's global communications delivery function, which supports internal, corporate and local communications teams with consistent, brand-aligned content. Reporting to the Director, Communications Services Delivery Hub, the role develops, edits and adapts content for internal communications and works within a structured service model. It suits an early- to mid-career communications professional (P2) with strong writing and editing skills.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, edit and proofread internal communications such as announcements, leadership messages, updates and campaign materials, adapting them to WSP's corporate voice and brand standards.
• Translate complex or technical information into clear, accessible messaging for internal audiences.
• Support internal clients (corporate, regional and local teams) by delivering communications requests within agreed timelines and service standards.
• Collaborate with Communications Business Partners and take part in intake, review and approval processes.
• Apply editorial standards, templates and style guidelines consistently, keeping messaging aligned globally while adapted to regional contexts.
• Work within the Hub's workflows and tools, identify improvements to templates and processes, and help document best practices.

Required profile

• University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field.
• 3-4 years of professional experience in internal, corporate or organizational communications.
• Ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment and to collaborate across time zones, cultures and functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage several priorities at once.

Required skills

• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and digital collaboration tools.
