Compliance DS Director

About the role

The Compliance DS Director will lead the DePuy Synthes Global Services (DPS) compliance function, overseeing the GS compliance team and external SOX testing provider. Based in Manila, the role ensures compliance readiness, controls, and audit readiness across DPS operations in Manila and Bogota.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate cross‑functional workstreams and dependencies to deliver a fit‑for‑purpose L2 Compliance organization.
• Hire, lead, coach and engage finance compliance team members, providing organizational design inputs and staffing decisions.
• Define SOX 404 testing framework and requirements in partnership with EY, GAA, GS Compliance and Controllership.
• Partner with EY, Signifi/Transcend/Transact, GPO Compliance and other teams to integrate L2 compliance deliverables for operation separation and compliance readiness.
• Support the implementation of new audit solutions such as Audit Board.
• Define and execute testing and remediation plans, ensuring statutory, regulatory and SOX control requirements are addressed.
• Prepare audit‑ready documentation and support audits (PwC & GAA) from a remediation standpoint.
• Provide updates, escalations and stakeholder communication to leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading finance or enterprise compliance teams.
• Strong knowledge of SOX 404 testing, audit frameworks and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage change, organizational design and cross‑functional stakeholder communication.
• Experience working with external audit firms (e.g., EY, PwC) and internal controllership functions.
