Contract Administrator - Mining Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for a Contract Administrator for mining projects. The role oversees the full lifecycle of contract management, ensuring alignment with best practices and project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze contracting strategies and prepare and review bidding documents, identifying risks and potential bidders
• Lead bidding processes, run technical and commercial bid evaluations, and conduct risk and SWOT analyses of potential awardees
• Lead kickoff meetings, assign and close open actions, and monitor contractor technical and administrative compliance
• Analyze schedule deviations, support recovery planning, and handle change requests in line with contractual terms
• Review and approve payment certificates, maintain risk registers, and escalate potential claims
• Manage technical and financial close-out, evaluate contractors after execution, and capture lessons learned

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mining projects, preferably with field exposure
• Strong understanding of contract administration in fabrication and goods procurement
• Native Spanish speaker; fluent English preferred but not mandatory

Required skills

• Familiarity with PMI and AACE methodologies is a plus
• Strong analytical, communication and coordination skills
