Contracts Director – Latin America & Caribbean

About the role

Visa is seeking a proactive Contracts Director to lead the Contract Engagement (CE) team supporting the Global Sales and Commercial Operations organization across Latin America and the Caribbean. The role will oversee the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with Visa’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of at least four professionals located in Miami, Bogota, and Sao Paulo.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert for contract management processes across all LAC countries.
• Oversee contract intake, triage, drafting, approval coordination, execution, and archival.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Audit to provide value‑added support.
• Develop and implement long‑term contracting strategy and process improvements.
• Conduct employee performance reviews, coaching, and development planning.

Required profile

• Significant experience in contract management, preferably within a global financial or payments organization.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of corporate policies, industry regulations, and audit requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.

• Knowledge of legal clause libraries and standardized drafting practices.
• Ability to navigate complex approval processes across multiple jurisdictions.
