Control Center Specialist II

About the role

The Control Center Specialist II supports the Customer Service Department by managing shipment orders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing continuous communication with clients and internal teams. This position plays a critical role in maintaining smooth domestic and international logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Professionally answer emails directed to the Customer Service Department.
• Create and validate new shipment orders for domestic and international routes.
• Advise customers on import requirements, customs procedures, duties, taxes, and documentation.
• Provide standard quotes and plan domestic routings considering carrier requirements.
• Enter clear notes and instructions into job files and manage system visibility reports.
• Analyze and email temperature data to clients and monitor shipments throughout transport.
• Communicate with national and international stations, agents, and other World Courier offices to resolve issues.
• Maintain flexible work schedule, including overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or a related field (preferred).
• 2‑3 years of experience in logistics or operations management.
• Strong understanding of supply‑chain processes and common obstacles.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Proficiency with World Courier operational tools.
• Computer literacy for managing shipping orders and communications.
• Ability to interpret import regulations and documentation requirements.
