Corporate Finance Analyst

About the role

The Corporate Finance Analyst will support primary analysts in monitoring and assigning credit ratings for issuers across multiple industries. The role involves deep analysis of business and financial performance, as well as responding to market events that may affect ratings.

Key responsibilities

• Surveil a portfolio of companies and assess market events for potential rating changes.
• Analyze business performance, including industry dynamics, regulatory trends, macro‑economic risk, competitive positioning, strategy execution, profitability trends and peer comparisons.
• Evaluate financial performance by reviewing accounting standards, governance policies, financial ratios, liquidity, short‑term factors and capital structure.
• Assist in building detailed historical and projected financial models.
• Prepare internal credit research reports and notes covering operational and financial insights.
• Support the preparation of publishable credit reports while adhering to compliance, confidentiality and information‑security policies.

Required profile

• Prior experience analysing companies' financial and operational performance.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis concepts.
• Proficient written and spoken English.
