Data Engineer (Onsite, Medellín)

About the role

Deckard Technologies is looking for a Data Engineer to join its Medellín office. You will monitor database health, manage end‑to‑end data pipelines and build scalable analytics tools using Snowflake and Sigma Computing. The role works closely with Implementation, Data and Client Experience teams to ensure data integrity and deliver self‑service reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively monitor SQL and cloud data‑warehouse pipelines, staging tables and automated ingestion to guarantee performance and availability.
• Design, build and maintain interactive dashboards and complex workbooks in Sigma Computing.
• Write efficient SQL queries, data models and transformation scripts for multi‑source datasets.
• Identify and resolve pipeline bottlenecks, data‑synchronisation failures and reporting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Implementation Coordinators, Program Managers and other Data Engineers to structure client‑specific data workstreams.
• Document data dictionaries, metric logic and workflow automations to support team scalability.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, BI development or database monitoring.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent Spanish and minimum B2 level English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to data accuracy and quality.
