Data Integration Engineer

About the role

Sutherland is looking for a Data Integration Engineer to design, implement, and deliver technical integrations and enterprise software deployments for customer environments. The role involves close collaboration with customers, engineering teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders to build scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build integrations between enterprise applications, databases, external platforms, and data sources using APIs, ETL processes, scripting languages, and integration technologies.
• Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and integration activities to ensure accurate data flows across systems.
• Design, configure, and implement customer‑facing functionality such as workflows, forms, reports, and process automation components.
• Support troubleshooting of integrations, data quality, system connectivity, and deployment issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including integration specifications and deployment guides.

Required profile

• Advanced English proficiency (B2 or higher) with strong technical and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in fast‑paced project environments.
• Strong communication and organizational skills for effective collaboration across technical and business teams.

Required skills

• SQL and database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• ETL processes, data mapping, APIs, XML, and scripting languages.
• Experience with Linux and Windows environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and enterprise software deployments.
