Data Management Analyst Consultant

About the role

The Data Management Analyst Consultant supports Enterprise Data Management solutions for EXL, working with clients on data governance, quality, MDM and business intelligence initiatives. The role involves gathering requirements, profiling data, creating documentation, and delivering configured data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business and technical requirements through interviews, workshops, and analysis.
• Develop data dictionaries, source‑to‑target mappings, business glossaries and data quality rules.
• Perform data profiling, validation, cleansing and reporting from databases and flat files.
• Design and test ETL processes, SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Communicate status, risks and decisions to team members, leadership and clients.

Required profile

• 4+ years in an analyst role with at least 2 years of consulting experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for business audiences.
• Experience working in multi‑functional, multi‑shore project teams.
