Deputy Director of Programs – Colombia

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Deputy Director of Programs for Colombia. Reporting to the Country Director, you will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of IRC’s humanitarian programmes across Colombia and partner‑led outreach in Ecuador.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and align program strategy with national policies, donor requirements, and IRC’s global vision.
• Oversee project management, ensuring compliance with best practices, budgets, and timelines.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of program staff, providing mentorship and performance oversight.
• Support business development activities, including proposal writing and donor relationship management.
• Ensure gender equality, client voice, and choice are integrated into all programme activities.
• Coordinate with local partners and government agencies to enhance service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in humanitarian or development programme management.
• Strong understanding of donor regulations and compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑building abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
