DevOps Engineer (AWS)

About the role

EPAM is seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer with a focus on AWS to design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure for multiple projects. You will work independently and collaborate with distributed development teams to deliver reliable, automated solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage AWS‑based infrastructure using services such as IAM, RDS, ALB/NLB, API Gateway, CloudFront, ECR, ECS on Fargate, CloudWatch, Lambda, Secrets Manager, Certificate Manager and S3.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, creating reusable modules and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage source control and build pipelines in Azure DevOps/Git, authoring YAML templates for repeatable deployments.
• Write and maintain automation scripts in Bash or PowerShell.
• Partner with development teams to align infrastructure choices with application requirements.
• Prioritize tasks autonomously and promote DevOps best practices across the organization.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in a DevOps role focused on AWS.
• Strong ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with remote, multicultural teams.
• Proficiency in English (B2+ level).

Required skills

• AWS services (IAM, RDS, ALB, NLB, API Gateway, CloudFront, ECR, ECS/Fargate, CloudWatch, Lambda, Secrets Manager, Certificate Manager, S3).
• Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Azure DevOps, Git and YAML pipeline creation.
• Scripting in Bash or PowerShell.
• Docker containerisation.
