Director of Finance

About the role

SellCord is looking for a strategic, hands‑on Director of Finance to lead and scale its finance function. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will shape financial strategy, build robust processes, and ensure accurate revenue capture for a fast‑growing e‑commerce agency.

Key responsibilities

• Own the company’s financial strategy, reporting, and planning as the primary advisor to the CEO.
• Design and enforce a proactive billing process to capture revenue accurately and on time.
• Oversee and optimize the QuickBooks and HubSpot integration for clean data flow between sales and finance.
• Lead cash‑flow management, forecasting, and monitoring to support operational decisions.
• Drive exit‑readiness initiatives and corporate‑structure planning with external advisors.
• Establish financial controls, workflows, and best practices across the organization.
• Partner cross‑functionally to align finance processes with growth objectives.

Required profile

• 7+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven ability to build financial processes from scratch and create accountability.
• Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks; experience with HubSpot or CRM‑to‑accounting integrations is highly preferred.
• Expertise in cash‑flow management, financial planning, and strategic reporting.
• Strong leadership and team‑development skills, comfortable managing a distributed finance team.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, remote‑first environment.
