Director of Finance (Tax / International Accounting / Bilingual)

About the role

GateSource HR partners with a well-known distributor of premium brands for the heavy equipment industry and is looking for a Finance Director to lead the group's financial activities. The main objective is to oversee and coordinate financial operations, including financial planning, working capital management, treasury, accounting, costs, taxes and risk assessment, while ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures and controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the financial team to meet its objectives and deliver quality services within set timelines.
• Develop and implement the organization's financial and strategic plans to ensure growth, profitability and sustainability.
• Manage cash flow and client relationships to maintain operational continuity and meet each business's strategic objectives.
• Plan and oversee financial and fiscal strategies to maximize profitability, cash flow and cost efficiency, aligned with shareholder and client expectations.
• Ensure compliance with service level agreements across the financial department and suggest new or improved financial services.
• Adhere to company policies on occupational safety, health and environmental standards, and follow all company rules, policies, procedures, manuals and plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field, with a specialization.
• At least 10 years of experience in similar roles.
• Fully bilingual (advanced English).
• Willingness to travel to Colombia for a week every month.

Required skills

• Expertise in international accounting practices.
• Experience in tax regulations, financial instruments, transfer pricing and cost modeling.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial processes (accounting, treasury, taxes, costs, international standards such as US GAAP).
• Proven experience working with international banks.
