Director, VASS LAC Regional Controllership

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Director to lead Value Added Services & Solutions (VASS) controllership across Latin America and the Caribbean. Reporting to the Vice‑President Regional Controller, you will provide senior accounting leadership and ensure consistent application of policies, controls and governance while supporting rapid business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with regional VASS business leaders, FP&A and product teams as the senior controllership advisor.
• Guide complex accounting matters such as revenue recognition, bundle and fund structures, and gross‑vs‑net assessments.
• Engage early in new product launches, pricing bulletins and scale initiatives to embed controllership.
• Design, implement and monitor robust front‑ and back‑office controls for VASS activities.
• Ensure compliance with Mastercard accounting policies, SOX requirements and internal governance standards.
• Identify and remediate risks related to fragmented execution and rapid expansion.
• Act as the primary regional owner for VASS controllership inquiries and resolve them locally.
• Support delivery of funds, bundles, impairment reviews and VASS‑specific assessments.

Required profile

• Senior‑level accounting or finance professional with proven leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of revenue recognition, SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
• Ability to work across multiple countries in the Latin America and Caribbean region.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on risk mitigation.
