About the role

Pond & Company is seeking an experienced Plumbing/Piping Designer to join its Bogotá office. The role focuses on designing mechanical systems for mission‑critical data centers, ensuring reliable, efficient, and sustainable cooling and infrastructure for continuous operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design plumbing, piping, and support infrastructure for data centers and other mission‑critical facilities.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, structural, civil, architectural, and telecommunications disciplines.
• Participate in model reviews, design reviews, and quality‑assurance processes.
• Support construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, site observations, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders throughout project execution.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Design, Plant Design, Process Plant Design, or Industrial Design focused on piping systems.
• 5+ years of plumbing/piping design experience, with direct involvement in data‑center or mission‑critical projects.
• Professional‑level proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced project environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Experience using Cadworx, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Inventor or similar platforms.
