Electrical Engineer for Industrial Projects

About the role

GEA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical engineering aspects of projects across planning, design, execution, commissioning and closure. The role involves extensive travel (up to 80% of the time) to customer sites and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and generate pre‑engineering electrical concepts and detailed designs.
• Schedule and coordinate electrical activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create equipment control lists, control modules, and hardware dimensioning documents.
• Review and adjust existing process engineering to support project execution.
• Set up industrial protocol networks, I/O periphery, and process analytic instruments.
• Commission VFDs, electrical cabinets, skids, and perform IO and dry tests.

Required profile

• Knowledge of RETIE‑certified low‑voltage equipment suppliers in the region.
• Experience with transformers, UPS, variable frequency drives and electrical protections.
• Proficiency in electrical control and pneumatic control concepts.
• Ability to calculate electrical loads and interpret/design electrical drawings.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholder interaction.
