Electrical VDC Project Manager (BIM) - Remote LATAM
ENG
Job description
About the role
ENG, a leading BIM services provider in the United States, is hiring an Electrical Business Unit Director (BUD) to lead a team of about 30 people focused on electrical BIM/VDC services for US-based projects, with a strong emphasis on mission-critical facilities such as data centers. The role reports to the Head of Electrical Trade and the C-suite, works remotely from LATAM as an independent contractor, and expects flexibility across all time zones with occasional travel to the US.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the strategy, operations and profitability of the Electrical BU, including a 3-5 year growth strategy and BU goals and KPIs.
- Own the P&L and budget, using P&L data to decide on staffing, pricing and project mix.
- Drive operational excellence, QA/QC and scalable workflows across US-based BIM projects.
- Build long-term relationships with US clients and identify new growth opportunities.
- Lead and mentor a 15-30 person team, working with People Business Partners on recruitment, engagement, retention and succession planning.
- Maintain deep hands-on expertise in Revit, Navisworks and other BIM tools, and sponsor innovation initiatives.
Required profile
- 10-20 years of AEC experience with a strong technical foundation in electrical systems and BIM/VDC for MEP.
- Substantial experience on US-based BIM MEP projects, with exposure to US codes, standards and construction culture.
- Proven experience directing BIM/VDC teams, not just acting as a BIM Lead.
- Experience with financial management, KPIs and P&L-oriented decision-making.
- Advanced or bilingual English, spoken and written.
- Open to Electrical, Electromechanical or Civil engineers with strong electrical specialization; architects with limited electrical exposure are not considered.
Required skills
- Hands-on Revit and Navisworks for MEP/Electrical (mandatory)
- Highly valued: AutoCAD, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, Recap, Bluebeam
What we offer
- 12 fixed annual payments in USD as an independent contractor, plus a quarterly profit share bonus program.
- Full work equipment and connectivity stipend.
- Health insurance reimbursement and two one-time home-office reimbursements.
- Flex-work and work-from-anywhere policies, and a vacation system with no fixed days, accrual or expiry.
