Engineering Manager – Bogotá, Colombia (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a small, high‑performing software team in Bogotá. You will guide a group of 8‑10 engineers, championing a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and delivery of scalable, distributed systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 8‑10 software engineers, conducting regular 1:1s and team rituals.
• Foster a culture of feedback, teamwork and high performance.
• Deliver high‑throughput, horizontally scalable micro‑services and distributed jobs.
• Align stakeholders around the team’s vision, goals and metrics.
• Participate in software architecture decisions and drive technical improvements.
• Identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams, preferably with a background as a software engineer or architect.
• Hands‑on people‑management experience including performance assessment, hiring and career development.
• Experience running agile teams and familiarity with common ceremonies, metrics and processes.
• Strong technical understanding to contribute to architecture discussions and translate complex concepts for non‑technical audiences.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Based in Bogotá, Colombia.
