Engineering Manager – Generative AI Squad (Bogotá)

About the role

Join the GRS Advanced Analytics & AI organization as an Engineering Manager leading a new Best Coding Squad pod in Bogotá. You will build the team from the ground up, drive high‑visibility AI‑native transformation projects, and collaborate closely with US‑based squads and data‑science partners.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑own hiring for the LATAM pod, sourcing and selecting Principal, Senior, mid‑level and Associate engineers.
• Define the pod’s ways of working, including ceremonies, on‑call practices, code‑review standards and onboarding.
• Partner with US squads and DSS data scientists to align design, development and production deployment of generative AI solutions.
• Champion agentic engineering techniques, evaluate new GenAI technologies and integrate them into engineering practices.
• Lead, mentor and grow a high‑performing engineering team, managing performance, career development and delivery cadence.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering or product management experience, with at least 2 years in a team‑lead or engineering‑manager role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to build collaborative cross‑functional partnerships and drive consensus.
• Advanced English (C1) for regular presentations to US stakeholders.

• Data: SQL, Postgres (including pgvector), Redshift.
• Cloud & pipelines: AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, CDK, DynamoDB, ECS/Fargate, SQS, API Gateway.
• Architecture: Microservices, REST APIs, JSON, Postman.
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
• Observability: DataDog, MLflow.
• GenAI: LLM orchestration, search systems, context engineering.
