Equity Compensation Analyst

About the role

Mastercard’s Equity Compensation team manages global equity programs such as Restricted Stock, Performance Stock, Stock Options, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. As an Equity Compensation Analyst, you will ensure accurate administration, compliance, and a smooth experience for employees worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Support administration of equity grants, off‑cycle grants, vesting events, stock option exercises, and ESPP activities.
• Review and validate equity transactions, resolve exceptions, and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Track country‑specific requirements and communicate with payroll, trustees, and partners.
• Assist with compliance tasks including tax withholding reviews, audit support, SOX controls, and documentation.
• Perform data validation, reconciliations, and testing of equity events to ensure data integrity.
• Respond to employee and stakeholder inquiries during high‑volume periods.
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and external providers to resolve operational issues.
• Prepare reports and support stakeholder requests related to equity program activity.
• Document end‑to‑end processes and develop repeatable playbooks.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in equity compensation administration or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with experience validating data and identifying discrepancies.
• Basic understanding of equity compensation programs.
• Experience working with third‑party vendors or stock‑plan administration platforms is preferred.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
