Excellence Assurance Lead

About the role

Goddard Enterprises, a provider of solutions for airlines, airports and enterprises across the Caribbean and Latin America, is hiring an Excellence Assurance Lead. The role is accountable for the group's corporate assurance program, giving an objective assessment of compliance and control effectiveness across operational processes, management systems and customer requirements. It leads the Excellence Assurance team, directs customer compliance verification and coordinates the sharing of validated lessons with Operational Excellence and QHSE.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a risk-based corporate assurance program, set assessment priorities and define objectives, scope, frequency and resources for approval by the Director of Excellence & Integration
• Own the audit and assessment methodology, including evidence requirements, sampling, finding classification and reporting, and keep criteria consistent across stations
• Lead corporate assessments, approve findings and classifications, and communicate significant findings to station management and the Director
• Hold accountability for corrective action plans: require root cause analysis, evidence of effectiveness and technical validation from OPEX or QHSE, and reopen findings when needed
• Direct the Customer Compliance Officer, coordinate with KAM, Operations, OPEX and QHSE, and monitor responses to customer findings
• Analyse assurance results to identify systemic weaknesses and report on risk coverage, recurrence and corrective action effectiveness
• Build the capability of local assessors through training, coaching and calibration, and share validated lessons with stations
• Set objectives, allocate responsibilities and coach the Excellence Assurance Analyst and Customer Compliance Officer, and coordinate schedules with other pillars

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, quality management, operations management, business administration or a related field
• Formal training in management system auditing; lead auditor certification in a relevant standard is preferred
• At least six years of experience in operational auditing, management systems, quality assurance or compliance
• Experience leading assessments across multiple sites, evaluating corrective actions, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and training internal assessors
• Experience in airline catering, food production, aviation services, hospitality or similar complex environments is preferred; team leadership experience preferred

Required skills

• Knowledge of audit and assurance principles, risk-based planning and evidence sufficiency
• Ability to evaluate control effectiveness and assess root cause analysis
• Working knowledge of integrated management systems and customer requirements
• Digital audit and action management platforms, Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
• Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish

The role involves regular interaction with station management, OPEX, QHSE and KAM, on-site visits to production facilities and airport service locations, and up to 75% domestic and international travel.
