Factory IT/OT Specialist

About the role

The Factory IT/OT Specialist provides on‑site computer support for Hitachi Energy’s factory assets and operational support for both office IT and shop‑floor OT environments. You will act as the first responder for IT/OT cybersecurity incidents and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide desk‑side end‑user support for IT equipment, software, meeting rooms and collaboration areas.
• Deliver on‑site support for factory‑owned assets such as kiosks, printers, Microsoft Teams Rooms, CCTV, access badge systems and MES scanners.
• Perform operational IT/OT cybersecurity tasks and act as first responder for incidents, working with the cybersecurity team.
• Identify critical factory assets that require monitoring and protection.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of IT support experience, including end‑user, infrastructure and operational services.
• Advanced proficiency in English and the local language.
• Strong teamwork, stakeholder management and a proactive, customer‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Experience with ServiceNow IT Enterprise Platform.
• ITIL 4 certification (strong plus).
• Lean Six Sigma certification (strong plus).
