Field Clinical Specialist - Transcatheter Heart Valves (Bogotá)

About the role

Edwards' Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) business unit partners with cardiologists and clinical teams to deliver heart valve solutions supported by clinical evidence. As Field Clinical Specialist based in Bogotá, you will support field clinical specialist activities and business outcomes, delivering clinical education and training to clinical end-users and helping physicians and hospital staff master the device.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver post-commercial education and training support to clinical end-users, covering device, handling, implantation and troubleshooting techniques.
• Certify centers, physicians, related staff and EW personnel according to EW SOPs, and interact with KOLs and proctors.
• Develop and continuously improve training curricula, materials and tools based on clinical trial experience, EW guidelines and SOPs.
• Train physicians, hospital personnel and staff through one-on-one ad hoc sessions and structured in-service programs, and provide follow-up support during commercial procedures.
• Plan and implement growth strategies in focused accounts with Sales and Sales Management, and support upselling in key strategic accounts with Business Managers.
• Validate software and hardware updates in the field where applicable, and regularly review clinical support activities, market changes, assigned accounts and competitor activity.

Required profile

• 3+ years of previous related medical device and/or clinical experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; clinical or technical training experience preferred.
• Proven expertise in MS Office Suite and ability to operate general office machinery.
• Good written and verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills, and good problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Moderate knowledge of cardiovascular science, anatomy, pathology and physiology, and of medical device regulatory requirements and adverse event reporting.
• Ability to manage confidential information, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and to work in teams across departments.
