Film Scene Description Specialist

About the role

We are seeking passionate film lovers to help train AI systems by turning short video clips into precise, structured scene descriptions. This fully remote, flexible contract role lets you work at your own pace while contributing to cutting‑edge visual language models.

Key responsibilities

• Watch short film and video clips and produce beat‑by‑beat visual breakdowns.
• Detail camera movement, framing, shot composition, blocking, pacing, and mood.
• Communicate emotional tone and atmosphere using only visual cues, avoiding dialogue references.
• Follow standardized formatting guidelines for scene summaries and beat‑level breakdowns.
• Re‑watch footage as needed to ensure accuracy and nuance.
• Maintain consistency and high quality across a large volume of descriptions.

Required profile

• Strong passion for film, television, or visual storytelling.
• Ability to articulate visual observations with clarity and precision.
• Detail‑oriented and comfortable revisiting footage to perfect descriptions.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
• No professional film or media experience required.

Required skills

• Familiarity with basic cinematographic terminology and techniques.
• Experience with structured writing or annotation tasks is a plus.
