Finance Manager

About the role

ScotiaTech, the technology hub of Scotiabank in Bogota, is looking for a Finance Manager to support the Technology Finance function across Canada. The role will drive financial planning, reporting and analysis for global technology platforms, ensuring alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end and quarter‑end reporting deliverables for Global Technology Enterprise Platforms and International Banking.
• Lead annual planning, monthly forecasting and variance analysis, including headcount reporting and attrition tracking.
• Develop financial models and analyses that enable technology stakeholders to make informed investment and prioritisation decisions.
• Support the creation and continuous improvement of finance reports, leveraging automation and data‑quality enhancements.
• Act as liaison between Finance, HR, Technology and operational teams to ensure alignment of staffing, forecasting and financial management activities.
• Provide governance and oversight for technology‑related expenditures, inter‑company transactions and resource‑planning initiatives.
• Incorporate the bank’s risk appetite and culture into day‑to‑day financial decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of relevant finance experience in a large organization, preferably within the banking industry.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to produce high‑quality output under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with partners across finance, business and technology functions.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance, internal policies and risk management in a financial services environment.
