Finance Team Lead – Colombia (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Team Lead to oversee the day‑to‑day finance and accounting activities of our Colombian entity. The role combines hands‑on accounting, tax compliance and people management, working closely with LATAM and global finance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the local finance team, setting objectives and ensuring strong performance and collaboration.
• Own the month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, fixed‑asset accounting and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate statutory accounting, financial statement preparation and external audit activities, ensuring compliance with Colombian regulations and AVEVA policies.
• Manage Colombian tax compliance, work with internal tax teams and external advisors, and validate tax positions.

Required profile

• Strong background in accounting and financial reporting with solid knowledge of Colombian GAAP and tax requirements.
• Proven experience leading a finance or accounting team in a multinational environment.
• Hands‑on approach to investigating and resolving complex accounting or tax issues.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work with regional and global stakeholders.

Required skills

• Oracle or similar ERP system.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of SOX/internal control frameworks.
• Knowledge of Colombian statutory accounting and tax regulations.
