Finance Team Lead Tax & Compliance Europe

About the role

Vanderlande is seeking a Finance Team Lead for Tax & Compliance Europe to head the regional tax team and ensure a robust, compliant tax framework across its European operations. You will combine deep tax expertise with people leadership, driving process improvements and supporting business units in a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Europe Tax & Compliance team.
• Oversee timely, accurate execution of corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax and related reporting across Europe.
• Coordinate transfer pricing compliance and documentation.
• Act as primary contact for tax authorities, auditors and external advisors.
• Identify, assess and mitigate tax risks, translating legislative changes into practical guidance.
• Drive standardisation, process improvement and documentation of tax controls.
• Support finance transformation initiatives and provide tax advice on business projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of tax/compliance experience in an international setting.
• Proven experience leading or coaching a team.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
