Financial Analyst (Bogotá or Nairobi)

About the role

Instiglio works with governments and their partners to improve outcomes for people in low- and middle-income countries. As a Financial Analyst, you will support financial reporting, maintain financial tools and systems, and develop analytical tools and analyses that support decision-making. You will also support document review and compliance, global financial planning, procurement and treasury monitoring. The role is hybrid, with at least two days a week in the office, and is based in Bogotá or Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and administer reporting systems and support the monthly financial closing, procurement, budget, invoicing and project expenses.
• Improve financial reporting and decision-making through analysis of multiple information systems, and create analytics to support cost-cutting and consolidation.
• Analyze purchasing options and study the company's cost structure to inform expense reviews, profitability, working capital planning and investments.
• Monitor treasury procedures so projects are executed effectively, and work with the project team to research the RBF (Results-Based Financing) market and strengthen pipeline calculations.
• Collaborate with project, services and operations teams, and build financial tools or automation that reduce manual work.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in financial planning, treasury or accounting at consulting firms or related organizations.
• For Bogotá: Spanish proficiency and English at B2 level; for Nairobi: English proficiency.
• Understanding of sustainable business models, attention to detail, structured thinking and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including database design, treasury, procurement and accounting.
• ERP systems or financial tool development preferred.
