Financial Controller

About the role

MAVIMAVI is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to own accounting, financial control, and cash governance for a high‑growth US company. The position is fully remote, based in LATAM, and reports to the CFO or CEO.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close, prepare P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements under US GAAP.
• Manage multi‑entity consolidation, intercompany accounting, and foreign‑currency translation.
• Design and enforce internal control frameworks, including delegation of authority and payment approvals.
• Oversee cash management, treasury relationships, and 13‑week cash forecasts.
• Direct the annual audit, coordinate US tax compliance, and maintain statutory compliance for each legal entity.

Required profile

• 10+ years of accounting and finance experience with team leadership.
• Proven ownership of close processes, financial statements, and control environments.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP (or IFRS) and experience with US, UK, Canada, or Australia entities.
• Excellent written and spoken English, comfortable presenting to executives, auditors, and banks.

Required skills

• Major ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Cash management, treasury, and cash‑forecasting expertise.
• Design and enforcement of internal controls and approval workflows.
• Audit leadership and coordination of tax compliance with external advisers.
