Founding CTO & Product Engineer (AI-powered Learning Platform)

About the role

We are rebuilding a modern, AI‑native learning platform for millions of users across Latin America. As a founding member of the team, you will act as both CTO and hands‑on product engineer, shaping the technical vision while writing code and mentoring future engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the technical architecture for a scalable, AI‑driven learning platform.
• Lead the migration from multiple legacy LMS systems to a single modern product.
• Establish engineering standards, AI‑assisted development workflows, deployment pipelines, and system design practices.
• Architect core services such as APIs, authentication, content management, and cloud infrastructure.
• Recruit, build, and mentor a high‑performing engineering team as the company grows.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team on product strategy and roadmap.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and scaling complex software platforms.
• Deep expertise with large language models, agentic AI, and modern AI application architecture.
• Strong background in cloud architecture, preferably AWS.
• Track record of creating or modernising engineering organisations.
• Comfortable making autonomous decisions and communicating with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a plus.
