About the role

We are looking for a Strategic Alliances Manager to lead the execution of Avianca’s strategic partnership agenda. The role will coordinate cross‑functional initiatives, structure new alliance opportunities and drive negotiations to maximise the value of our relationships and strengthen the airline’s competitive position.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of strategic alliance initiatives, ensuring delivery against objectives, timelines and expected outcomes.
• Manage and participate in negotiations with airline partners and other strategic stakeholders, aligning with corporate strategy.
• Develop and oversee business cases for new alliance opportunities, ensuring financial rigor and feasibility.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including Network Planning, Revenue Management, Commercial, Legal and IT to enable successful agreement implementation.
• Monitor alliance performance (KPIs, revenue, synergies) and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Prepare executive‑level analyses, reports and presentations for senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance frameworks and audit requirements.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience, with 5–7 years in alliances, strategy, revenue management or business development.
• Strong background in airline commercial business and alliances (codeshare, interline, joint ventures).
• Proven ability to build financial models and business cases.
• Advanced English proficiency.
