GMP Technician

About the role

The GMP Technician is responsible for maintaining assigned areas within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment in a clean and orderly condition. The role involves performing repetitive cleaning and sanitisation tasks, following strict SOPs, and supporting shift leads to ensure product quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, GMP‑controlled work area, including walls, floors, windows, and equipment.
• Perform sanitisation duties, follow gowning procedures, and complete daily FN logs.
• Support shift lead by completing punch‑list items, work orders, and shutdown cleaning.
• Comply with all safety rules, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and stop unsafe behavior.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, co‑workers, managers, and customers.
• Report maintenance issues and assist with equipment upkeep.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience (preferred).
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification (a plus).
• Valid driver’s licence may be required.
• Completion of all safety and task‑training certifications; forklift certification may be required.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret SOPs, manuals and safety instructions.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, compounds and equipment.
• Proficiency in chemical safety and proper gowning procedures.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
