Head of Compensation & Benefits

About the role

Yara International is seeking a senior leader to drive the Compensation & Benefits agenda across the Americas. Reporting to the VP People & Culture Americas, the Head will translate global strategies into regional solutions, ensure governance and deliver disciplined execution in a matrixed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the regional Compensation & Benefits agenda, adapting global frameworks to competitive, equitable, and locally relevant solutions.
• Lead regional policies, annual cycles, job evaluation and reward programs while balancing market, legal and business needs.
• Establish governance, decision rights and controls, using market, pay‑equity and cost data to guide decisions.
• Partner with People & Culture, Finance, Legal, Tax and Payroll and represent Americas priorities in global forums.
• Manage base‑salary structures, compensation frameworks and monitor market trends for competitiveness.
• Lead and develop the Compensation & Benefits team, ensuring high service standards for Brazil and building regional capability.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in compensation, incentives, benefits, job evaluation and reward governance within a matrixed international organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications are a plus.
• Proven track record leading regional or multi‑country agendas and translating global frameworks into practical solutions.
• Strong ability to operate in complex, ambiguous environments, influencing without formal authority.
• High credibility as a senior business partner, capable of advising and challenging executives on sensitive reward matters.
• People‑leadership experience, developing specialists and setting clear priorities across strategic and operational work.
