About the role

We are looking for a Senior Applications Engineer specialized in centrifugal pump systems to support our technical sales and engineering teams. The role focuses on designing, sizing, and configuring pump solutions for industrial, commercial and municipal customers in Colombia.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate client design parameters such as flow rate, total dynamic head and fluid viscosity to select appropriate pump type, impeller size and materials.
• Define supporting equipment including mechanical seals, drive trains, variable speed drives and piping layouts.
• Provide technical guidance to sales, manufacturing plants and customers, troubleshooting fluid‑transfer issues and resolving failures.
• Collaborate closely with clients and sales teams to capture complex, unforeseen technical requirements.

Required profile

• Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering degree.
• More than 5 years of experience in pump selection, configure‑to‑order and engineer‑to‑order environments.
• Advanced English proficiency (minimum B2).
• Knowledge of NFPA 20 fire‑fighting pump standards.

Required skills

• Centrifugal pump selection and application expertise.
• Proficiency with CAD, CAE and FEA tools.
• Materials science knowledge for pump component selection.
