Innovation Analyst - LATAM

About the role

Medtronic, a global healthcare technology company, is looking for an Innovation Analyst (Innovation Specialist) in its LATAM region. The role turns business challenges into data-driven insights, builds structured business cases, supports risk-return assessment and helps prioritize, measure and govern innovation initiatives so that investment decisions are informed and the financial and strategic impact of the LATAM Innovation portfolio is reinforced. The position is based in a hybrid model.

Key responsibilities

• Support the execution of innovation initiatives such as innovation challenges, workshops, discovery sessions, bootcamps, intrapreneurship programs and project follow-up.
• Provide methodological support to project teams using innovation tools, frameworks and templates.
• Track initiatives, milestones, owners, risks, progress and expected outcomes.
• Help prepare presentations, reports, dashboards, meeting minutes and executive materials.
• Assist in structuring opportunities through problem statements, hypotheses, experimentation plans, project briefs and initial business case inputs.
• Support the execution and monitoring of innovation POCs, MVPs and pilot projects.
• Support ecosystem scouting and mapping, including startups, universities, innovation hubs, technology partners and healthtech solutions.
• Contribute to an innovation culture through communications, storytelling, knowledge management and engagement activities.

Required profile

• Two years of experience in project management, business analysis, innovation, digital transformation, consulting, startups or product development.
• Ability to coordinate multiple activities and stakeholders in a dynamic regional environment.
• Fluent Spanish and intermediate to advanced English.
• Experience building business cases, ROI analysis or feasibility frameworks, and measurable ROI or cost impact from supported initiatives.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of innovation methodologies such as Design Thinking, Lean Startup, Agile, Discovery, MVPs or project management.
• Analytical thinking and clear structuring of information.
• Proficiency with analytical and dashboarding tools (Excel, BI platforms) is advantageous.
