Insurance Operations Team Leader

About the role

Gallagher is seeking an Insurance Operations Team Leader to drive operational excellence across its global brokerage and risk‑management business. You will mentor a high‑performing team, ensure compliance, and deliver tailored insurance solutions that protect clients and empower people.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Client Service Manager to review workflows, mailbox activity and metric reports, identifying trends and implementing efficiency improvements.
• Mentor and develop team members through hands‑on support, training sessions and skill‑gap bridging.
• Resolve complex technical queries from clients, reinsurers and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely outcomes.
• Allocate workloads, monitor capacity and align associate skill sets with evolving business needs.
• Authorize activities, review transactions and uphold industry regulations, internal policies and Gallagher Re best practices.
• Liaise with sales teams and stakeholders across Ipswich, Mumbai, Brazil and other hubs to deliver seamless client service.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of re/insurance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role within a broker or insurer.
• Proven leadership ability to set SMART objectives and drive team success.
• Fluency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

Required skills

• Experience with transactional broking systems.
• Familiarity with the Gallagher Excellence Model (GEM) and Standard Operating Procedures.
