Intermodal Dispatcher

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Intermodal Dispatcher to join our Medellín team. You will coordinate port and rail drayage moves, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining strong communication with drivers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers for import/export, live unloads, and drop‑&‑hook operations.
• Monitor container availability, terminal status, and appointment schedules.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery windows based on customer requirements.
• Communicate route changes, delays, and operational updates to drivers.
• Track shipments from pickup through final delivery.
• Ensure compliance with port and rail regulations, chassis usage, and appointment systems.
• Resolve operational issues such as delays, holds, and documentation problems.
• Maintain accurate load and driver records in TMS systems.
• Optimize routes and driver utilization to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Customer Service and Operations teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in intermodal dispatch or transportation operations.
• Strong knowledge of ports, rail ramps, and container flow.
• Proven ability to coordinate drivers, containers, pickups, and deliveries.
• Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication with drivers and internal teams.

Required skills

• Experience with dispatch or TMS systems.
