Inventory Control Specialist

About the role

The Inventory Control Specialist will ensure total inventory reliability and visibility across warehouse spaces while supporting operational excellence in all logistics operations. This remote contractor role lasts for five months with a possible extension.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily inventory control, balance operations, manage damages and train the team.
• Support operational and resource planning.
• Coordinate cycle counts and audited inventories for raw materials, spare parts and finished goods.
• Maintain product expiration data and manage blocked, obsolete, and write‑off items.
• Monitor and control inventory and operational KPIs.
• Configure WMS, provide training and ensure FIFO compliance.
• Review inventory levels to guarantee customer supply and manage CEDI capacity.
• Lead efficiency, LEAN and cost‑saving projects.
• Support month‑end closing and produce monthly inventory value reports.
• Coordinate logistics with planning, purchasing, export and import functions.

Required profile

• Technical or technologist degree; preferred background in accounting, administration or industrial engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar inventory control role.
• Working schedule: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Proficiency with office software packages.
